Get to know and understand the first-ever digitally adjustable dumbbell! Follow our step-by-step instructions, and you’ll get a grip on things.
1. Charging your DumbbellConnect
IMPORTANT: Your DumbbellConnect is shipped in sleep mode. It’s important to plug it in with the handle seated on the base, or it will not operate correctly.
- Plug the USB cable into a power adapter.
- Plug the USB-C end of the cable into the base of the DumbbellConnect.
- Plug the power adapter into a power outlet and charge for at least 3 hours before use.
Charging your dumbbells the key to a successful workout. Please allow your units to charge when not in use, and make sure the handles are seated on the base to charge. The handles will only charge when they are seated on the bases and the bases are plugged in.
2. Stacking the Weights
- Facing the base’s screen, slide and lock the weights into each other with the plate’s flattest side facing outwards and the plate with the edge facing inwards towards the handle.
- Make sure that there are seven weights on each side.
Please make sure the weights are stacked correctly. If there are any gaps between weights or missing weights, the device will not function properly.
3. Placing the Handles onto the Bases.
- Place each handle onto the base, ensuring each dumbbell handle is aligned with the center of its base.
- You should not need any additional force to secure the handle onto the base when all components are properly aligned.
When properly seated and ready for use, the DumbbellConnect will beep once.
4. Wait for the Beep
Once you place the handle on the base, a beep will sound indicating that the handle is ready to be picked up. After changing weights make sure the DumbbellConnect beeps. The DumbbellConnect needs a moment or two for its internal mechanism to adjust to the weight you’ve selected. Once you hear the beep, you’re ready to start your workout!
Picking up the handles too early can cause a weight misalignment. Please make sure to always wait for the beep before removing the handles from the base.
